Got some spare time this weekend? A collective of game developers has rallied together to self-promote their titles, with deep discounts on games across a number of platforms.

Just make sure that you set some time aside for sifting through this digital bargain bin, because there is a lot of content available across PC, Mac and mobile platforms. You have the option of buying games directly through the developers for a number of Windows and Mac titles, or you'll find the heavily discounted games in the iOS and Android stores. You'll find all the info about this sale and links to the game downloads via the Because We May microsite.

Some of the stand-outs include the Double Fine Bundle for half price (US$14.99) on Steam; Braid for US$2.99; and World of Goo for US$0.99 on iPhone, US$1.99 for Android or US$2.99 for Windows, Mac or Linux. Rockstar's mobile version of Grand Theft Auto III is also discounted on iOS and Android, priced at US$0.99 for the duration of the sale, and available through the respective app stores.

This is the tip of the iceberg, with dozens of other games on sale, too. The discounts continue until 1 June.
