I have a Nikon Coolpix S3100 but there are not too many reviews on it. I was wondering if CNET could review it

Hi, I'll add this one to the review list. If you already have it though, feel free to leave your own thoughts on the product page: http://www.cnet.com.au/nikon-coolpix-s3100-339309154.htm

i want a small simple camera that takes great pics in auto, but i could play with the manual features with time. will definitely be using the video too. probably taking a lot of outdoors shots, candid portraits and open landscapes. sony hx20v or canon g12???

Hi Erin,

Either camera will be fine for the sorts of shots you're planning, the HX20V obviously gives you more zoom which you might find valuable for outdoor shooting. The form factor of these two cameras is also quite different, the G12 is much larger but it definitely gives you a shooting feel that's much closer to an SLR than a tiny compact.

no mention of Fujifilm? I believe Fuji have outdone themselves in the F550 this year, and given Panasonic a serious run for their money in the compact superzoom market!

This is a round up of cameras we've reviewed fully rather than every suitable camera out there - haven't had a chance to get to the F550 yet!

HELP please. I am looking to buy a new compact camera for an upcoming trip. I want an easy to use point and shoot with a high zoom that gives a good clear picture with good colour. Have narrowed it down to Panasonic TZ10 or Canon Ixus 1000.

Have owned a Panasonic Lumix about 4-5 years ago but was really disappointed with the picture quality and colour so changed to a Canon Ixus 75. Love the Canon but now want a higher zoom. Will the Lumix colour and picture be as good as the Canon given it is now 4 years on.

Which camera should I get?
