The annual Head On photography festival is kicking off once more, with plenty to see and do around Sydney.

The full program can be found here. Some of this year's highlights include a retrospective exhibition of renowned Australian photographer Ingeborg Tyssen's work, held at Hazelhurst Regional Gallery and Arts Centre, as well as Dean Sewell's culture jamming series at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Workshops include a Photoshop masterclass with Alexia Sinclair, night photography with Peter Solness and how best to work with lo-fi cameras. Exhibitions and workshops are being held all across Sydney, featuring work from both Australian and international photographers.

Head On officially launches tonight, 4 May, at Customs House in Sydney, with the announcement of the Head On Portrait Prize winners.
