Navigon 6300

Navigon's 6300 is stuffed full of features, including a 4.3-inch screen, traffic messaging, Bluetooth hands-free, terrarin data, junction view, lane guidance and, most impressively, a voice command system that's able to understand complete street and suburb names.

I have had my Navigon now for over 6 months and in that time it has been back 5 times, they havce replaced it with a new unit once, yet still my software keeps disapearing. One minute it is there, next minute'**** it has gone. It also just shuts down when you program certain areas in to it.

The company's help line for Australia seems to be in Germany now, as the recording I got was in German.....Go figure?????

Buy one if you want to bash you head with frustration

I think this is a great unit, it kills the Garmin I trialled at Xmas. It picks good routes and is fast to recalculate after a missed turn. 3D maps are stunning and the lane assist is priceless in areas I'm unfamiliar with. The software is highly featured and is good value compared to competitors at the same pricepoint. Other reviewers are either overly harsh or have no clue. Someone complains of no manual or software in the box, just download them, you're guaranteed the latest version then, duh! The unit is so easy to use you only need the quickstart guide to get going anyway. I love this GPS. Finally, if all users contributed map corrections on the Navigon site it would make it better for everyone, yes?

The NAVIGON 6300 is total waste of money. The GPS software is terrible, definitely some stupid team thought about it. On-screen information is not centralized, makes the GPS difficult to configure and use.
The Voice Command still sucks. Most of the time the TMC signal or information is unavailable. Very Limited points of interest. Unnecessary safety cameras alert. Only one map colors is available in the GPS.
Navigon must begin to correct the issues otherwise they will not survive in Australia market. Spent nearly 500 AU$ for a terrible GPS device and two years of map update subscription. Honestly I want my money back. Hate NAVIGON 6300…………..

NAVIGON 6300 sucks……
I bought a Navigon 6300 week ago from Harvey Norman, spent 400$ for nothing.
This is a horrible nightmare. Not user-friendly at all. Search by point name does not work. Very expensive and the box do not contains user manual or software CD ROME, also finding user manual in the Navigon website is painful.
Don’t even think about the **** buy TomTom, Mio Garmin or Navman.
