Panasonic Viera TH-L55WT50A
Due out in Australia in June 2012, the range-topping WT50 range features 1080p, 3D capability, built-in Wi-Fi, USB and SD cards slots, support for popular codecs and IPTV services.
Sitting atop the pile of Panasonic's 2012 LCD TV range, the WT50 range features an IPS 1080p display capable of both 2D and, with the aid of the supplied pair of active glasses, 3D.
A built-in Wi-Fi module will allow owners to view DLNA and IPTV content without laying out an Ethernet cable across the living room or forking out extra for a USB Wi-Fi dongle. Those who don't have a compatible media server lying around are also catered for, as there are three USB ports, an SD card slot and support for popular codecs, such as DivX and MKV.
The internet-based Viera Connect service allows owners to access Quickflix and BigPond Movies, as well as catch-up TV services from the ABC and the Seven Network.
The WT50 hits retail outlets in Australia in June in two sizes: 55 inches and 47 inches. The 55-inch TV will carry a recommended sticker price of AU$3499, while the 47-inch model will retail for AU$2849.
