SBS On Demand now on Sony PlayStation 3

From today, Sony PlayStation 3 owners will have access to the SBS On Demand catch-up TV service.

To access the web app that's been tailored for the PS3 user interface just turn your PlayStation on, skip to the TV/Video Services section and under the rainbow-coloured My Channels item you'll find a small (325KB) SBS On Demand app awaiting your downloading pleasure.

Once the app's been downloaded, you'll have access to a nicely laid-out version of the SBS On Demand website from the TV/Video Services menu and all the streaming videos stored therein. Video quality isn't spectacular, but it certainly beats watching two flies crawl up your wall without a beer in your hand.

The SBS app joins Plus7 and ABC iView in the PS3's catch-up TV armoury.

Note: you may or may not need to upgrade your PS3 firmware. CNET Australia was unable to test verify this, though, as our PlayStation has up-to-date software.
