Skype offering free month of international calls, today only

Quickly; there isn't much time.

Skype is giving away a month of free international calls to existing customers for today only, offering the first 30 days on its Unlimited World plan for free. This includes calls to landlines and mobiles in seven countries, such as Canada, Hong Kong and the US, plus calls to landlines in "over 40 countries".

You can read the full list of countries in the fine print here.

The list of caveats seems pretty short. You might have picked up at the beginning of this article that you will need to be an existing customer; an account holder for 29 days or more, to be precise. You'll also need a credit card or PayPal account to activate the subscription.

Activating this trial will create a subscription with an automatic payment option switched on. If you'd prefer not to risk forgetting to cancel the subscription, you can do it immediately by logging in to your account, selecting the subscription and choosing the option to cancel. Of course, you might want to maintain the subscription after trialling it.

Head on over to Skype to sign yourself up. This is going to be the best month of prank calls ... ever.
