Known as the Toshiba AT330, it is described in the release statement as "the perfect coffee table accompaniment". It is joined in store by a new 7.7-inch model, the AT270, and a 10.1-inch variant called the AT300. The smaller tablets are both priced at AU$539, while the 13-inch tablet will fetch AU$699 RRP.
The differences in displays are mostly what distinguish the three variants in Toshiba's new tablet range. The AT270 may be smallest, but it makes use of the superior AMOLED display technology, also seen in Samsung and Nokia smartphones. The larger tablets use an LED-backlit LCD panel.
All three tablets run on quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processors, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB storage. They all have Micro-SD card slots to expand this storage, 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich. The larger AT300 and AT330 models will also offer a micro-HDMI port for display sharing.
